A Happy Homecoming

March 25, 2011 - Ascension's Jillian Sharpe received a surprise visit at school from her father, Master Sergeant Phillip Sharpe, who arrived home earlier than expected after serving six months in Iraq.  Jillian's brother, Brendan Sharpe, also came to welcome his father home.  The complete story was featured on WDTN: http://www.wdtn.com/dpp/news/a-happy-homecoming-from-iraq.

Inaugural Creative Spirit Fine Arts Festival

On April 2nd, 2011, the 2nd Annual Creative Spirit Fine Arts Festival took place at Memorial Hall in downtown Dayton.  This exciting event provided elementary and high school students the opportunity to showcase their artwork and perform musical and theatrical selections on stage.  We are grateful to all those parents, families, teachers, and students who attended and participated in this successful event!  To view a flyer with more information from this year's festival, click here.

Last year’s inaugural Creative Spirit Fine Arts Festival was held at St. Christopher parish in Vandalia, where 400 students from 8 different Catholic schools performed and over 1000 pieces of visual art displays were showcased.  This event, hosted by the Catholic School Office and co-sponsored by the Catholic Education Collaborative, provided an exciting opportunity for Catholic elementary and high school students to come together to share their musical and artistic talents with each other, their parents, and with the larger Dayton community.  To view pictures from this exciting event, please follow the links below:
